2025 Boat Show Season, Marine Design Trends

The Corinthian team was lucky enough to attend multiple shows this year from the West Coast, to the MidWest and all the way to the East Coast.  Each of them had their own “personality” tailored to location but one thing was for sure, there were a lot of excited boaters checking out all the new things the industry has to offer.  Everything was showcased – enhanced smart technologies, accessories galore, new electric motors and boat design that never disappoints.

At the shows, we tend to spend a lot of the time with our heads down looking at boat flooring, but we do look up from time to time where it is easy to spot emerging design trends.  Last year we noted the predominance of blue hulls, and this year was no different. Every shade of blue imaginable was used across every size and type of boat.  From simple pontoon fencing to yachts, the color blue was visible.  We also noted it on interior seating and underneath hardtops adding pop of a color.  In addition to the range of blues, we observed smatterings of greens that we had not seen before.  This fits with the emerging color trend towards more organic and natural colors.

Last year we also mentioned the preponderance of quilting.  This styling trend continues, and even more so.  Quilting on hull sides, seating and bedding, with a variety of patterns provide distinct accents.  The patterns are carried throughout the boat for the ultimate in coordination.

As aforementioned, we do spend a lot of time looking at floors. Afterall, we want to see our flooring out in the wild and compare it to competitive and alternative products. With that focus we definitely see it all – dirty EVA, gorgeous woven styles, scratched and peeling EVA, mostly neutral colors, and wild EVA patterns.  No matter what, though, flooring is following the warming trend with more taupes and light browns than blacks and greys.

These trends indicate dynamic and evolving boat styling emphasizing today’s modern trends.
